Fernando Santullo nació en Montevideo, Uruguay, en 1968. En 1976 se traslada con su familia a México, donde reside hasta 1985. Tras vivir un tiempo en Nueva York regresa a Uruguay en 1992.
En 1994 forma la banda Peyote Asesino junto a Juan Campodónico. El grupo editó dos discos y el segundo de ellos, "Terraja", fue producido por Gustavo Santaolalla
